The Bund Deutscher Landschaftsarchitekt:innen (bdla) has been representing the interests of the profession for 111 years. At the federal level, it is led by the national association and is divided into 13 regional chapters, including the Niedersachsen + Bremen chapter. We advocate for our profession in professional policy matters, organize local events and training sessions, take a stand on relevant issues, and promote environmentally and socially responsible planning and construction processes. Furthermore, we serve as a point of contact for our members! Our active members contribute their expertise to many regional expert committees and participate in nationwide working groups. The board of the regional chapter is represented in Hannover, the capital of Lower Saxony, and in the Hanseatic city of Bremen.

Responsibilities:
  • Flexibility. Not a fan of nine-to-five jobs? We offer you a permanent part-time position with 16 hours per week, allowing you to set your own flexible working hours.
  • Remote work from home. We make it easy for you to balance work and family while avoiding long commutes by enabling you to work primarily from home.
  • No boredom. In close collaboration with the board, you will take on diverse and challenging tasks, managing projects across the entire spectrum of landscape architecture and landscape planning.
  • Creativity. Do you have your own ideas and visions for the future of our profession? Then you’re in the right place! Fresh impulses and innovative ideas to strengthen landscape architecture in public perception and association work are highly welcome.
  • Teamwork. We’re in motion! Our board is currently reorganizing, and we warmly welcome team players who want to support us. Of course, you’ll also be able to build on the experience of our long-standing management.
  • Communication. You will have direct contact with our members and committees at both the state and federal levels. You’ll also connect with inspiring people from other professional associations, universities, politics, and administration.
  • Pro-climate. As landscape architects and planners, we design and shape the cities and landscapes of tomorrow. With your work, you can help create adaptable, future-proof open spaces.
Qualifications:
  • You take initiative and are used to working independently.
  • You are a team player with strong organizational skills.
  • You enjoy communication and public relations, both written and verbal, internally and externally—as the face of the regional chapter.
  • You have a keen interest in our profession, in building culture, and in climate-friendly design, and you are eager to advocate for the goals of our association.
